Kickstarter

Hi everyone, 

I'm writing with some disappointing news. After running into a string of several large challenges, we have decided to suspend the production of Family Plot indefinitely. 

This may seem like an abrupt choice, but we have actually been discussing it for a few weeks now and have decided that there isn't enough momentum to finish the project with the level of quality we feel is acceptable. 

The challenges we are facing mostly relate to scheduling and locations, and they are problems that could potentially be overcome with more more money, but we are also finding that the economy of the past two years has not been the best environment for fundraising and we are not gaining enough traction with kickstarter.

We are ending the kickstarter campaign immediately and all pledges will be cancelled. If you donated directly, we will be contacting you to refund your contribution.

While this isn't the most fun way to end a project, it is not uncommon with independent film and we feel very resolved about the decision. We had a blast and learned a lot.

We sincerely appreciate all of your support, both financially and otherwise. Your investment in the process means a lot to us. We hope that you will continue to support us in the future and we'll keep you posted on upcoming projects.

Great news! We’ve completed casting for the final lead role in Family Plot, adding the charming and talented Anthony Veneziale to the team. 

Anthony has many TV and film credits, including Sex and the City and Che. He is currently developing a show for the Cartoon Network, but luckily the scheduling worked out  and Anthony will be on set with us in October. We’re are pumped to have him aboard.

On another note...28 days left to go in our fundraising campaign. So far we have 49 donors, each contributing almost $100 each on average. Let’s keep it going!

One week into the kickstarter campaign, Family Plot has already raised over 10% of our total goal!
