In Fallen City of Karez, each player will take the role of a lord of one of the guilds who seek to tighten their grasp on the rising city. The players will strive to maintain a balance between keeping the city safe for its citizens by sending exploration parties to defeat any threats, and at the same time attracting to the emerging city new adventurers wishing to fill their pockets with fortunes and their names with glory.
The Art of Karez:
As an emerging publishing company we like to get our production values to the highest quality we can. We hire the most talented professionals in order to make this game a total experience, not only by its great gameplay but through every card and token a player holds in his hand. Our new graphic designer, Antonis Papantoniou gave the game its definitive look as he did with his previous board games (Drum roll, Briefcase and Among the stars). I designed a solo adventure where you can print 1 page only and you will be able to experience encountering monsters and surviving deadly traps in our unique combat system. You can download the adventure here . Note: this is pre-published prototype art.
Why Kickstarter?
Our company has developed the game to a point where we are ready to produce it. As this is our first published game board project, our initial capital is very limited and we need your help to get a better production value for the game. Each backer can literally make the game better by allowing us to invest on more luxurious components than our very limited budget can support.

Mini Expansion - The Golden Dragon:
This new guild house is available with the "Adventurers of Karez" pledge level and up.
The Golden Dragon Guild is one of the oldest guild houses in the known world, its mysterious demeanor and deity fed the rumors tying them to the destruction of Karez. The player who controls the lord of the Golden Dragon guild will conspire to destroy the city of Karez! If Karez does not become a City by the end of the game, this player wins the game and all the other players lose.
As the king leaves Karez to its ruins, the Golden Dragon's worshipers can finally construct their secret temple and resurrect their beloved deity.
