In the last update, we shared that we anticipate going into pre-production at the end of this week.

That was your exact quote. The very, very simple question is - Are you or are you not in per production?

Very simple and just requires a yes or no answer. If your answer is as you said "Waiting on a few details...." Then you really have no idea what's going on with your own project, do you?

Another false promise. Another unreported delay.

    7. Missing_small

The mechanism that holds the device would have to be modified to prevent this from happening.

    8. Missing_small

Creator Max B. 5 days ago

Depending on how their apps communicate with the Galileo it is likely to be possible to use the adapter, though the iPhone 5 might be loose and eventually fall off if mounted that way.

    9. Missing_small

Creator Dominik Mathieu 5 days ago

With the lightning version not coming in the foreseeable future:

Wouldn´t it be possible to build a bluetooth/30-pin combo model, that can be used with an official 30-pin-to-lightning adapter to charge the iPhone 5, while the controls are transmitted via the bluetooth (because they are obviously not transmitted through the adapter)?

    10. Missing_small

Creator Dominik Mathieu 5 days ago

I fully support the idea of Kickstarter and don´t see it as a "shop" at all. But even if I get my reward it will be useless to me, because I do not use 30-pin devices anymore. Neither will I have use for a bluetooth model, because it does not charge my device.

As a result (and since I cannot get a refund) I am willing to sell my (unfulfilled) pledge reward of 2 Galileo to anyone here who is interested at a fair price. Just post here and we talk about how we can handle this best!

      On May 13 you posted:
"In the last update, we shared that we anticipate going into pre-production at the end of this week. All the new tooling, new quality control systems, and refined assembly process should be ready to go so that each Galileo we make is the best Galileo we can make. If all goes well, we enter production soon after and air freight the first batch of Galileos by the end of the month. We will know for certain once we get rolling in pre-production. It’s an aggressive timeline, but that is the plan. "
      ---------------
The week is now over. I assume you are in production? Funny how something as big as that news didn't get an update.
Or, are you not in production, again, and also failed to give an update?
It's got to be one or the other, in which case an update should have been issued.

    12. Missing_small

Creator Max B. on May 14

Until you look into a special GoPro mount, I realized an universal camera mount should do. And it doesn't seem too complicated! The Galileo would communicate with the iPhone paired by BTLE and not with the attached camera...

    13. Missing_small

Creator Timothy Foreman on May 14

I can't honestly understand why some people have the impression that there will be bluetooth version or any other version of this scam. What happened to all the people that thought they were going to email Tim Cook? This is a sham and there are too many people who want their money back. What about these big money backers you have? I bet they are not posting here as they are most likely involved in a lawsuit against you.

Really horrible Motrr. The update is crap and the product will never arrive.

    14. Missing_small

Creator Max B. on May 14

Will the Bluetooth version be compatible with GoPro as initially hinted in your project video? (Please make that a reality!)

I can imagine an insert/mount for the GoPro that docks with the Galileo, an iOS device like iPhone 5 connected via BLE sending the commands from an iOS device like an iPad connected via personal hotspot.

    15. Itunesartwork_2x.small

      Creator Motrr on May 14

      To answer some common questions:

iPhone 5 will attach securely to Galileo, same as the 30pin iPhones attach to the current model. The only difference is there is no 30-pin connector. Also, we will ship Galileo with additional inserts for the compatible iDevices.

The 30-pin to lightning connector doesn't work with Galileo, trust us we tried. It doesn't transfer the motion command data like we need.

Send us a message through kickstarter or email us at info@motrr.com.

Motrr and the Galileo project represent a classic con artist / con game.

You will never get your APP approved, and that will always be your excuse for not shipping any version - let alone the original version we signed up for.

Apple is on to you me thinks.

Motrr and Galileo will go down in history as the most notorious and longest running KIckStarter con game. Future con artists with take classes on how to keep a con alive as long, while money is spent on product "enhancements" with zero product delivered. This is a great way to take vacations in far away places and do other things you can't explain to the tax man.

It would have been better if Jasper Eisenberg gave me a refund when I asked for it back on 1/23/2013.

Again, I am happy to quote this e-mail...
      -----------------------------------------

      Hello Bryan,

Thank you for supporting us through your Kickstarter pledge. We understand that you are disappointed with the delay in launching Galileo; so are we! Presently, we have committed all of our resources to making units for our Kickstarter backers. Thus, we are currently only able to process refunds after we have fulfilled our Kickstarter orders and have the monetary resources to address your request. Providing Galileo units to our backers is our foremost priority, but keeping all of our supporters happy is our goal, and we will certainly process any requested refunds when we are able to do so.

Kindly note that Motrr is only able to refund the portion of your pledge we received, and not any fees assessed by Kickstarter or Amazon Payments (up to 10% of the original donation).

Please let me know if, in light of this information, you would still like refund to be processed once the resources become available, or if you would prefer to maintain your order for your Galileo. We are very excited about Galileo and we would still like you to still be one of the first to experience this revolutionary piece of technology! We sincerely apologize that you have not been satisfied, and we appreciate all of your support.
      ----------------------
      To which I replied:...

      Spoken like a true con-artist.
Sure, put me back on the list of people who will never receive this "revolutionary piece of ..."
Oh, when is it shipping again? I must have missed that in 9 months of updates... NOT!
      -------------------

We could keep doing this every update, or you people could just refund me NOW! Not after backers get their stuff. Your call Motrr.... Happy to keep posting this the for rest of your exposure on KickStarter if you like....It is sooooooooo too late to make me happy. Ask your office workers to come up with a few bucks each to kick into the kitty so Motrr can send me back my money. If not... just saying. The truth be told. Oh, where is the "Share on FaceBook" button anyway?

Creator Wes Benwick on May 13

Well, I've got to say that the latest update regarding no intentions to support the iPhone 5 and lightning connector is a huge disappointment... I see huge problems with what they are attempting to accomplish with bluetooth and it wouldn't surprise me for this to never make it to production.

      Hey everyone,
First and foremost, I do not work for Motrr and do not represent them in any way, but they have been forthcoming with some information to me and I thought I would pass it on to the backers. I am not sure why they would not want to share this information outright except for the phrase "Please note, that timeframe may vary" - they probably are a little gun shy to put any exact dates out there for fear of missing them again. These were the company's responses as to when I could expect a BT model and what it would be compatible with. Here are the company's responses and I hope this information is useful to some:

"I estimate the Bluetooth model will be available 2-4 months after we start shipping the 30pin model, which will be in June. Please note, that timeframe may vary. For this model, the docking mechanism will be the same.

Also, we are working on a new design that will accomodate a wider range of devices, but that is in the very early design phase.

The Bluetooth module we are working with is BLE only. Thus, the Bluetooth Galileo will be able to communicate with the iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod Touch 5th Gen, and presumably the iPhone 5S."

Heard from my bank card issuer today. Essentially they had just as many excuses as KS, Amazon and Motrr combined.

@Motrr - I think it is about time that you guys put forth an honest and sincere effort with informing us that you really have no clue of what you are doing. I don't want to be patronized with BS about how you underestimated your obstacles. You knew when you started this campaign that you had no ability whatsoever to to manufacture this product. There is no law in effect out there that stipulates that you cannot refund a "pledge" as you are not a charity. I hope you are enjoying your trips to China and whatever else you bought with our money. Here's my little tidbit for you guys at Motrr; Go wake up your relative, spouse or neighbor who is posing as your corporate counsel and let them know that since you have continuously avoided telling the truth and avoided manufacturing the "reward" that I will just post my money that you owe me on your D&B and I would recommend everyone that is pissed off with this do so as well that way you will never get financing for any more lies that you may cook up in the future. VC's look at those D&B's as well.

For all the idiots out there that stick by the notion that this is simply a pledge and that the finished product is the reward for that pledge WAKE UP! It is idiots like this that keep Kickstarter in business.

Is it drugs or alcohol or the mental disability of delusional disorder with you clowns at Motrr or what? Post an honest update and respect your "backers" enough to make it weekly. It's not like you are busy making a viable product. Your should have more than enough time to fabricate an update on a weekly basis. In the mean time at least send me that spiffy box, since that's the only thing you have made, but that was most likely photoshopped as well.

What happened to all the clowns out there saying they were contacting Tim Cook? Did he ever get back with you guys? Of course not. If Apple even thought this thing was going anywhere they would have bought you out before you would have ever thought of KS.

Kickstarter is the Pre Paid Legal of crowd funding so you are in great company Motrr. Is it that hard to just admit that you are not capable of honoring any of this?

@Charles - Do not let your CC co. hand you that BS! You did not get the product. Tell your CC co you are refuting the charge and refusing to pay it. They are required by law to allow you to not pay that amt until they render a decision and either uphold the charge or refund it.

    29. Fb_profile_picture.small

Considering you guys asked us what kind of connector we wanted almost a year ago, and estimated delivery was also promised almost a year ago, much has changed in the meantime. How can I change my connector choice? This should be easy for you guys as you haven't actually made anything yet. Seeing as I feel ripped off already due to all of the delays and lack of communication, at least don't stick me with an already obsolete device.

      2. Is more expensive
      3. Has already taken a year to develop (and still counting)
      4. Has so far, only 2 apps it works with
      5. Has no mobility
      6. Is built (or will be built) for a phone which is out of date and which runs a soon to be unsupported iOS

The finish you wouldn't have issues with if you had just left it the high gloss white that you started with? To stir the pot...
Simply contact your credit card co. and tell them you want the charge reversed. Since the product was never delivered you will get a full refund with no Amazon or KS fees taken out. Even though it's been over a year, they will still issue the chargeback.
As far as those who say that this is an "investment", sorry, but in the US in order to be considered an investment opportunity, the co. must be registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission and follow very strict rules. I can guarantee not one KS "investment" opportunity has done that.
So saying its an investment and you shouldn't expect a product for your cash is a flagrant lie.

I construe that as censorship since they are protecting thier interests. Can't have KS getting a bad name. Might cut into the "off the top" profits they make whether a product comes to fruition or not. As such, I will no longer be commenting on this or a couple other failures.
