Project Summary:

I want to raise funds in order to fund my living letter sculpture project.  I will need to raise enough funds to cover the cost of a 3-D printer.  With that be able to mass produce my sculptures quick and easily.  I'm using my newest project titled Living Letters to showcase just how i will use the printer.  It will be a brand new process to me, but I'm happy to see what challenges will come and what i will learn during this time.

Process:

The first step is taking the prototype hand sculpted figures and modeling them in a 3D program.  once that is complete i get them prepped in a few other programs to get them ready for printing.  once i have the printer up and running it is just about tweaking settings and such.  then the printer will print out the figures.  i will do some slight sanding if need be, then may apply any paint that may be needed for details.  Then ship them out.

Reward Notes:

My mailing list currently has about a dozen people i send weekly updates too.  with more people i plan to update more regularly.  Most emails will contain information on my current projects as well as future ideas.  I almost always send pictures of newly finished pieces, or ones being worked on.

When choosing a letter figure you will also choose a color, but only the colors the plastic material will come in and only the material i will have access to.  painted details are not guaranteed yet. 

All ceramic beads, rattles, and rain-sticks are somewhat fragile and are not meant for small children.

History:

For many years now i have made ceramic sculptures.  I really want to go into the toy business, but just have never had the time to commit to such a large task.  Once i started to see what 3-D printers where capable of doing i realized it could cut a lot of the time out of the work. 

Future goals:

Eventually i would like to have my own website and sell my figurines on it.  I really want to work with the customer on the creative process and with their help develop each figure by customizing size, color, and detail so the one they receive will be unique to them.  I have many planned projects and many in mid completion.
