The Story
It’s been a week since Amber, Don and their young son Aaron barricaded themselves into their apartment. Seven days of family meals and board games while outside an epidemic has turned humanity against itself. Just the dead, roaming with their violent hunger, remain.
Now, as the family’s food goes scarce, they must venture outside to survive. The new dangers strike quick. A pack of undead nearly overwhelm them, killing Aaron in the attack. Destroyed without their son, and with no home to return to, the couple begin a journey towards a distant coastal town. It’s while traveling through these graveyard cities that a new nightmare emerges.
A perverse sense of survival turns Don into a monster, and Amber must find the strength to be truly alone.

What is Kickstarter?
Kickstarter is an online fundraising tool focused on creative projects. The goal of this campaign is to raise $100,000 to begin production on our feature film. We hope to start shooting in North Carolina this summer.

Every penny goes directly towards production and contributor rewards. Our budget covers everything from production insurance to location fees, from cast and crew wages to equipment rentals, from the props and costumes and makeup to sound design and post—everything.

Marco Garcia is an award-winning director, whose short films garnered acclaim among festivals around the country. In 2008, his short “1915,” was honored with the Director's Guild of America student award for “Best Male Director” and a nomination for the coveted Student Academy Award for “Best Narrative Short.”
Raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Marco was inspired at a young age after watching Alfred Hitchcock’s Rear Window. He later pursued his passion by enrolling in a film studies program at Georgia State University. There he studied critical analysis and theories of cinema before growing frustrated with the lack of physical production. He later transferred to the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, School of filmmaking. While completing his Bachelor of Fine Arts, his strong understanding for the frame, and cinema itself blossomed to where the Dean of Students, Jordan Kerner, chose him to direct a short film his senior year. The film, like his marks, was a success and a perfect step into feature length directing.
Marco is drawn towards genre related projects with strong characters. He is based out of Los Angeles, where he lives with his wife and no dog.
