iPhone case designed to look like an Old-West Gun Holster.
For most people, owning an iPhone is about being unique and getting noticed. For those of you who are ready to take that experience to the next level, we are pleased to introduce the iPhone Holster.
The Product
The iPhone Holster is a leather cell-phone case that is designed to look like a gun holster. It loops onto your belt, and the iPhone slips comfortably inside.
The dimensions of the iPhone Holster are approximately 6.5" x 3.75" x 1" (not including the top strap or the belt loop)
The iPhone Holster will initially come in two versions: a brown leather, cowboy-style holster, and a black leather holster.
The Process
I started the iPhone holster design in mid November. Then I made contact with an excellent holster manufacturer in Oklahoma. They did a wonderful job taking my rough, hand-made prototype and creating this design. They made these two prototypes for me to confirm the design and make the Kickstarter video.
The die-cut tooling for the leather will cost $900. The initial order cost will be close to $1500.
I have set the funding level for this project at an amount that will make it possible to pay for the tooling and the first order. If the project gets funded, the first iPhone Holster products should be shipping by the end of February.
If you choose to support this project and receive an iPhone Holster, you should not be surprised if you get sideways glances and double-takes as you walk around in public.
