About this project
Welcome to the campaign for the DREAM MANGA MAGAZINE Second Special Edition! The DREAM Group is an online community of aspiring manga artists who share and promote our ideas, work, and experience through manga.
This summer our team is putting together a special hardcopy edition separate to our free online serialization. This second special edition will include over 150 pages of manga stories, articles, interviews, and art tutorials written and created by our DREAM Manga team. DREAM members available around the United States will begin sale and distribution of this issue at several anime conventions in the latter half of this year and into the first half of the New Year, beginning with Otakon in Baltimore Maryland this July from the 29th through the 31st. Our intention is to continue our mission of connecting with like-minded manga artists and anime and manga followers and fans.
As we are made up of primarily high school and college students, funding for such a project is an issue of great importance. Since the majority of our serializations are free, this fundraiser is necessary to obtain the funds needed for paying for the printing of the Second Special Edition of DREAM, the distribution of the issues to members of our team who will be selling them at upcoming conventions, and finally for promotion of the issue in our community. That said we are in need of $1000 ($800 for printing and $200 for distribution and promotion) in order to cover all of these costs. With your support the DREAM Manga Group will be able to make its second major step into the printed medium for the purpose of continuing our goals.
It is our hope to continue gathering together online and offline manga artists, manga fans, anime enthusiasts, and aspiring artists in all areas. With the Second Special Edition of the DREAM Manga Magazine we will continue to do that with your support.
