Thanks Joe! It's great to have your support! Poitin really is a marvelous drink! I am back in Ireland right now and have been tasting quite a few! It's so smooth and delicious, great for this time of year! Everybody here has a great story to tell about Poitin, since it is such an inherent part of the Irish heritage and culture! I really think America is missing out on this wonderful Irish spirit!

Seems like Ashlee has all the "i's" dotted and "t's" crossed...I say get on board and pledge! Poitín is good for what ails you and I always get a bottle around winter and for the Xmas. Add honey and hot water and that cures colds, flue, sore muscle and general 'un-well'. It is a pleasant alternative in a Hot Totty or as a 'digestivo' after a meal in the same manner as Italian Grappa. Mention a "drop of poitín" and your party guest will light up. And by the way...America NEEDS Poitín...you really do!

I pledged and I hope you hit your goal. I have had Poitín once before while on a trip in Ireland and I loved it. America needs Poitín, it is good for what ails you. I was told that if you add honey and hot water... Poitín helps cure colds, flu, sore muscles etc. Good luck!

Hey Corey!!! Thank you so much!! I really appreciate the support!! And would be absolutely delighted for you to sample the result! Poitin has a particular taste that is difficult to put into words. It is slightly herbal and can be fruity or floral with hints of malted barley. Some people compare it to grappa or rakia, an Eastern European spirit. It can be drunk neat or works as a great replacement (or dare I say improvement?) for vodka and whiskey in many cocktails.!!!
