Project Description : As Detroit continues on it's wayward journey of peril and promise, we are offering the optimal catharsis: Detroit _(blank)_ City The folly of our great municipality shall not be overlooked any longer. This absurdist web-series will bring laughter to all of Metro Detroit.
Distributed through the web, this series will utilize the hard-to-believe ideas to save Detroit as a backdrop for the story. Save Detroit Think Tank (SDTT) has recently been granted $500,000,000 to implement the rebirth of Motown. This under-equipped task-force, may not know the best route to revitalization, but they are darn good at marketing.
Detroit _(blank)_ City will be distributed in six parts, for free through the internet. It will combine Detroit's best talent in parodying the city which we call home. Through humor, we will laugh to breathe another day.

There is always a risk in Detroit. Additionally, more often than not, video ideas are never made. The obstacles and intricacies are endless, and when you are trying to make people laugh, the stakes are even higher.
15 years ago, the writer and director first worked together in high school on a 45 minute sketch comedy show about Harriet Tubman. Since, they have collaborated multiple times on feature films, documentaries and commercials. As far as Detroit is concerned, the director has spent the past seven years making films in and about the city. The writer lives abroad, and points to all the city's farce, just by reading headlines. If we fail at making this video series, we will retire.
