I just had a question if the images will be different in the black envelope? Yes they will be different! That envelope was just being used as a reference for the video. Thank you

Update #10: ONLY 36 HOURS LEFT!!!
Hello everyone... so there are only 36 hours left on my Kickstarter project for Portrait of America Left Behind II, and I'm pretty behind. So... I'm gonna throw this out there. For any of you who have pledged in the first project I will give you a EXTRA free print for pledging again on 11x14's and up!
That's right a free print + picking out what picture you want! It can't get any better then that....

Hey, Brandon. I received the black envelope last time. And it looks like it's the same 6 prints, right? If these were different, I'd be keen on throwing another $15 atcha, but otherwise I'll stick with the 3 prints I scored last time. Thanks, mate.

Hello to everyone! So all of the images are finally printed and scanned. I have attached a url to a gallery of my 100 or so favorites from the trip.

Update #5: Still going Strong!
Hello everyone.... so I have decided to keep on shooting! I just dropped my love off at the Salt Lake City airport, and I am going to keep going. I just had 3 more boxes of 4x5 film sent to me here, and I am adding Nevada into the project now. Thanks again everyone... Update #4: I'm off tomorrow!
To the wonderful Backers:
I just wanted to thank all of you for making this possible. I am off tomorrow at 4am to drive straight to the start of the trip... Paris Tx! I will be returning in the second week of January, and will get all of your pledges out by the end of February.

I wasn't really expecting pledges from Europe, but just to give you guys a heads up... any print orders outside the black envelopes will require a small shipping fee. The pledges were set for US shipping, and frankly... even sending a 8x10 to Europe is half the pledge... Sorry, but I will keep you posted. TX

Update #1: Doing Great So Far!
Everything is going great and I just wanted to thank everyone for pledging so far. If we can all tell ten people just imagine what that will do! I appreciate all of your help and the trip planning is taking place as we speak. Have to start out fitting the pick up truck so I can get more height with my ladder and tripod. Can't wait to leave!

Brandon Schulman has been taking pictures since his childhood, making prints in his fathers B&W darkroom before he could even read. Upon Graduating from Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara with honors he moved to NYC to start his commercial career. Brandon has traveled to 13 countries over the past 9 years; constantly drawn to new environments and cultures. Roughly three years ago Brandon realized that he was forgetting about something very important, his own country! Since then, he has set out at least every year for a two week project photographing a few states at a time. Brandon predominately shoots with his Linhof Master Technika (4x5 camera) and prints every print by hand in his own Color Darkroom in Brooklyn, New York.
Brandon Schulman's fine art work has been exhibited in New York City, Santa Barbara, and Bolivia. His ongoing series "Environmental Landscapes" includes images from thirteen countries and has earned support from Kodak, Calumet, and Mamiya corporations. His commercial clients include work for Hugo Boss, Coach, Kate Spade, Caroline Hedaya, Melcher Media, Rockstar Games, McCann-Erickson, Verizon, BaseDesign NYC, ROOT Brooklyn, Barnard, Jane, ZINK, Let Them Eat Cake, and Playboy France. His library is represented by Gallery Stock and his camera of choice is his trusty old linhof. Brandon resides in Brooklyn, New York, where he enjoys his piano and turntable.
