Old Hundred is an independent rock band from Columbus, Ohio. We're releasing our second full-length album,'Time in the Wild' on September 1st. And we're asking for your support to fund the mastering and reproduction of the album.

Old Hundred is Blake Skidmore, Gordy Smith, Nate Gelinas, Jon Helm, and Hal Hixson (from left to right above). We've been making music together for three years. In that time we've grown from three members to five. And our sound, which in the early days was categorically folk-rock, has evolved to include many influences. Our Album / Time in the Wild:

Work began on this album two years ago. In that time we brought together a collection of songs with different songwriters, themes, and musical tones, shaping them into an album that feels cohesive and personal, but broad reaching in scope. There are moments on the record that leave you feeling blistered, while others feel spacious and serene--with bright tones and dark tones throughout. Despite its many contrasts the project grew from the same roots--and when taken as a whole feels interconnected. 

We recorded 'Time in the Wild' over long-weekends at 3 Elliot Studios, in Athens, Ohio. It was engineered and produced by Josh Antonuccio, an amazing guy who became our good friend during the process. His influence helped make the experience - and the record - great.

The album is 12 tracks - nearly 60 minutes of music - that feel very important to us. And what remains to be completed is the Mastering, Pressing, and Printing of the record. This is the point where we're asking for your help...

Your Support: 

The album is being mastered by Jeff Lipton at Peerless Mastering. Jeff has worked with an enormous list of artists we love, including: Arcade Fire, Bon Iver, Andrew Bird, Jeff Tweedy, Josh Ritter, and many more. We chose to work with Jeff because he's one of the best in the world, literally.

The album is being pressed to vinyl at Gotta Groove Records in Cleveland, OH. It will be a Double Vinyl record. We chose vinyl for a few reasons: it's the highest quality format available, it's the format we're most excited about, and we think a lot of you feel the same way.

The album will also be released on CD and Digitally. We chose to release the album in these formats because they are the most accessible. Vinyl is cool, but CDs and Digital are for the masses.

So that's the deal... your money will be helping finance all of the above.
