Okay, so after going back and forth on it for awhile, I decided to go ahead and make the hardcover book a reality anyway since so many people wanted it! I know that we haven't quite reached $40,000 yet, but I figured with only a few days left, it'd be pushing it too close to wait and wouldn't allow those that wanted the hardcover book enough time to get it (since you can only alter pledges before the Kickstarter ends).
So I'm taking a bit of a loss for the good of the book! Here's how it works: if you would like to upgrade your book to the hardcover version, please add $20 to your Kickstarter pledge. Obviously this only applies to rewards packets that already include the paperback book! We'll cover the shipping to the US, but those outside of the US will need to add this $20 in addition to the $15 international shipping cost.
So for instance, let's say you've got the Book Set packet for $35--if you live outside of the US, remember to add the $15 international shipping. Then, if you'd like to upgrade to hardcover, add an additional $20 to that cost.
The hardcover book will be a limited item! Everyone who orders one from this Kickstarter will assuredly get one, but I can't make any promises beyond that! We'll have a few extras on sale at the online store but if you really want one, it'd be safest to nab it now! And of course, later reward packages like me signing the book, etc will still apply to the hardcover. If you have any of the Double Set rewards packages that include 2 books, please add $20 per book if you want to upgrade (so you can keep them both paperback, or add $20 for one hardcover, or $40 for both).
Remember, you can only upgrade your packet before the Kickstarter ends! Sorry to give you guys a fairly small window here, but at least you've got a few days!

Kiwi--unless someone directly states otherwise, any pledges that are $20 or more over (after international shipping if applicable) will be automatically upgraded to hardcover! So assuming your shipping address is in the US, you're good to go!

I feel like a cheapo, but I had to downgrade my book from signed to get Book Set with hardback. Stupid money, if I could I would be throwing you enough to get the $800 plus hardback with extra thrown in. But alas, that's not happening haha.

Rachel--that's right! All the rewards packages will remain exactly the same as they are now, but any package (that includes the paperback book) can be upgraded to include the hardcover instead of paperback for an additional $20.
