I want to thank everyone who has already come forward to support our effort to bring our interpretation of The Rite of Sol to the stage. We have some great ideas about how we're going to make this our most impressive production to date. Without giving away too much, we're looking at ways to incorporate more live musicians, strategies for bringing the audience into the action, and twists that will make every performance a unique event.
If you want an idea where we're headed symbolically and musically, check out the attached video. It contains the overture to The Rite of Sol along with the text of Liber Resh vel Helios, which was the inspiration for the musical arrangement.

Jon Sewell is a Washington State native who has lived in Seattle since 1987 ev. Raised in a religious household as a member of a large and diverse family, Jon developed an interest in music, theater, and spirituality at a young age.
After more than a decade in the underground Seattle music scene, Jon branched into musical theater late in 2000 ev, and began producing Aleister Crowley's Rites of Eleusis as rock operas in early 2001 ev.
A talented composer and performer, Jon cast himself in major roles in his productions in order to satisfy his desire to perform, and explore the many facets of the Eleusinian Mysteries from a participatory perspective. With Eleusyve Productions, the theater and media production company he helped found, with Melissa Holm, Jon’s work with these Rites has developed a distinctive style, receiving positive reviews from esoteric and mainstream media alike.
