A Pokémon themed zine featuring 28 illustrations from of all 28 Ghost Type Pokémon from 28 different artists
Hello Kickstarter!
My name is Jordan Rosenberg. I am a New York raised illustrator / graphic designer / musician and producer. I have a passion for vibrant, colorful, organic artwork, and I enjoy making my own handwritten typography. Ever since I was young, Japanese culture has endlessly captivated me. My fascination with Japanese culture stems from the many videogames I grew up playing, which were mostly made in Japan. I fondly remember the countless hours I spent trying to catch all 151 Pokémon in the Red Version on my Gameboy Pocket, only to have my file one day delete itself. My passion was undying, and although I had been smote by the Gameboy Gods, I began a new file and caught each and every Pokémon all over again.
Last October, I submitted work to designer Cory Schmitz's Zelda Zine, which is a print publication featuring The Legend of Zelda inspired illustration and literature. It was an absolute honor to have my work published alongside brilliant illustrators and cartoonists such as Zac Gorman and Maré Odomo. This wonderful opportunity has inspired me to create and organize a zine of my own.
I am designing, compiling and editing the Ghost PokéZine. It is a zine featuring 28 illustrations of all 28 Ghost Type Pokémon by 28 different artists. This zine includes submissions from a variety of talented and diverse illustrators / cartoonists and designers such as:

Maré Odomo

All of the contributors to my zine are extremely talented with color usage, so it is ideal to print the Ghost PokéZine in full color. Unfortunately, it is extremely expensive to print 100+ copies of a 32 page, full color zine. Although the zine will still look lovely in greyscale, it would be a shame not to print the Ghost PokéZine in its vibrant, fully colored glory.
I am on Kickstarter in order to gather enough money to print this wonderful publication in its original, uncompromised intent. This will also allow the finished product to be sold at a highly reasonable price, as to not steer away potential buyers. Although many of the contributing artists already have quite a large following, this zine has the potential to bring in an even bigger audience. With your help, we can bring this incredible publication to the masses and not sacrifice artistic integrity in the process. What better way to pay tribute to the joy we experienced playing Pokémon during our formative years than to make a zine in its honor.
Here's to you, fellow Pokémon fans!
Love,
Jordan Rosenberg

It's amazing that some of you guys backing me are actually from outside of the country! The funds should hopefully cover any sort of international shipping charge I run into. If for some reason the shipping charges are astronomical, I may request a small portion of money from you ($5 or so).
Thanks!
