This is my first attempt at both publishing a book, as well as raising the money to do it.

I have been writing for as long as I can remember and have produced a variety of works, including poetry and short stories. I am also currently working on my first novel. I recently won the "2012 2nd Place Kansas State University Best Undergraduate Writer" award for my poem "What Poor Lighting Will Do To A Soul," which is included in this collection.

The collection will include approximately 25 pieces written in the past 2 years.

Your donation will help to fund a number of things - 1. the publishing of approximately 100 first editions of the book which will be distributed to contributors, as well as used to send to publishers. 2. the copyrighting of the collection. 3. the creation and maintenance of a personal website/blog which I will use as my author page to promote my continued work.
