I can hardly believe it's finally coming. This is a film I have been dying to make for years!

The story is about a man trying to escape from his troubled past and earning a second chance. It's also about reconciling one's fantasies with reality. This is all set in the plain, but always beautiful Midwest, my home and a part of the world that needs to be showcased in a film!

The story: Darrow, a roguish romantic, who never looks before leaping, digs his way out out prison with a spork. He steals a car, some clothes, and a new identity for himself. Wasting no time, he speeds through the Midwestern countryside to the farm where Lily, his former love lives. Darrow hides the truth about his escape, and all looks well for the couple until his past catches up with him. With the police close behind, Darrow must choose to cling to his newly created fantasy life, or flee and live to love another day.
Obviously, most of us are not escaped prisoners. But, given the world's economic situation, many of us have fallen into circumstances beyond our control. This makes Darrow's story very relevant and important to Americans today.

The film is relatively low budget, but we have a wonderful location and I know we can do a lot with this simple but powerful story. I want to shoot on 35mm film and have an involved post production process, so I would like to raise about $3000 dollars. We have already raised a small budget, but definitely need more to make the quality product we are after.

Most of the money will go towards film stock, processing, and digital transfer. Also, a lot will go towards set design and art direction. We want this film to look as good as possible! Most importantly though, the money will make sure our cast and crew are well taken care of!

Our location is locked for November 11-15! It's going to be an awesome film! (and a blast to make. But, I need your help!)
