This will be the first performance by a new theatre company, producing original work in the Berks County area of Pennsylvania.
The goal for this project is to perform an original play in October 2012 as the first production of a new, professional theatre company in the South Eastern PA region. This mission of the theatre company is to produce contemporary performances as well as stage original work, in an attempt to invigorate a stagnating cultural community in an otherwise exciting cultural melting pot around the Reading area.
This performance is currently being workshopped with a staged reading scheduled for March 24 at Kutztown University. Themes of this play include several cultures' variations on the upcoming apocalypse, the intensifying political and social atmosphere in America, the line of scrimmage between religious rites and human rights, and more PA Deitsch than you can swing a ring of bologna at, yet!
We are currently raising funds to support a budget to finance compensation for performers, designers and technicians, costumes and sets, as well as venue rental and audience concessions and amenities.
