A folding moped, a dual-frame camera and choosing between your heart and your dreams. A feature film to be shot on location in Tulsa.
HOME, JAMES is a feature length film co-written by Julie Gearheard and Jonathan Rossetti. Set in Tulsa, Oklahoma the story follows James, an aspiring local photographer whose recent rejection from a major gallery has left him questioning his talent. While working his unfulfilling day job, he falls for Cooper, a hard drinking Tulsa socialite. James and Cooper are quickly consumed by a whirlwind romance that at first inspires and instills confidence in James but ultimately threatens to derail him. In the end both James and Cooper must decide whether to pursue their dreams or each other, knowing that it won't be easy either way.
WHY YOU SHOULD SUPPORT OUR PROJECT
After working on the script for almost four years we are truly excited to bring HOME, JAMES to the big screen. The idea of creating our own work has always appealed to us and we feel this project is the perfect example of community filmmaking. Tulsa provides the perfect backdrop for our small indie film, and we can't wait to begin working with the local film community in Oklahoma.

OUR TEAM
JULIE GEARHEARD (Co-Writer, SAM) is originally from Sapulpa, Oklahoma and is a graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. She moved to Los Angeles in January 2007 to study with David Mamet. During that program, she met Jonathan, and one day - when she wore an Eskimo Joe's t-shirt - they realized they are both from Oklahoma. Julie has worked as an actor, writer and producer on small independent projects and waits tables in her spare time. Go Pokes!
JONATHAN ROSSETTI (Co-Writer, JAMES) is a proud native of Tulsa. He is a graduate of the Atlantic Theater Company Acting School in New York and also studied with David Mamet in Los Angeles. He has acted in multiple projects, on film in Spartan, television The Unit, and Off-Broadway in Keep Your Pantheon both in Los Angeles and New York. He recently got married and loves it. Boomer!
GEORGE SU (Cinematographer) received his Masters in Cinematography from the American Film Institute. He has worked on numerous projects, from television to film to music videos. You can see some of his work here: www.georgesu.net
COLIN MORAN (Producer) was born and raised in Los Angeles. He studied Theatre and Engineering at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and then moved back to LA to find his place in the industry he admires so much. He started his career in film as an art director for short films but was quickly swept away by commercials. After mastering the trade in the high speed and hectic world of commercials, Colin has begun to take that experience as a producer into feature length films.
