Important Update
Thank you to everyone for your continued support and for sharing our kickstarter campaign for “Be Here Now” The Andy Whitfield Story, with others. We are truly humbled and honored to have you all join us in the making of this inspiring documentary.
We have been asked if people may still pledge to the project even if we reach our goal, until July 23. The answer is yes and we hope so. We set our goal as a conservative amount just to complete filming and edit the film because we wanted to make a humble approach to asking the public, fans and our supporters for help.
Anything that we raise over that will go towards helping us fulfill our goal of distributing and marketing the documentary as widely as possible, internationally. This will include not only helping us get into high profile film festivals and worldwide distribution channels that include television, home video and hopefully movie theaters, but also making it available for cancer related organizations and groups around the world, to fulfill Andy’s wishes to inspire and help others to live in the here and now, while pushing to accelerate the pace of cancer research.

I had no idea this documentary even existed until i found a link to it through the recent interview with Vashti Whitfield and even just watching the trailer had me in tears. I was diagnosed with cancer shortly after Andy was and as a massive fan of his from Gabriel and then Spartacus i followed his story as much as i could while going through my own treatments and when i heard of his death it was truly devastating. He was an amazingly inspirational actor on screen and also in life and i feel honoured that i can help raise awareness on a disease that has taken so many before their time.

I "liked" over 2,000 Facebook pages to post this in front of 40 million people who liked those pages. Everything from Spartacus, to Best Buy, to DR Pepper, Walmart etc... At the time there were about 31 days to go and about $70k short of the goal. I don't know how many if any of those people contributed, but if you did, thanks!

I am proud to be a part of this wonderful project! My friends and I have been spreading the word about Andy's documentary in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Sweden, and Denmark for a while now, and many of our friends from these countries joined us and became backers, too. I have found his life story inspirational.
Despite the despair and fear both he and his wife felt they still found the strength to think beyond their own situation and were able to contribute a hugely effective and memorable message to all who have or know someone who has been affected by cancer.

My brother died at 54 of cancer 3 years ago, on June 26th. Leaving behind his

So happy about this. Mu brother died of the exact same condition. The worst part was when the doctors told him he was improving and within 3 weeks he was gone. Good luck with the documentary, I wish you all the best.

Having a brother that just last week started Chemotherapy for Leukemia , I want to do something to see that this documentary gets made public. Cancer is something we all should be concerned about and help others that have/had it. We all need to leave our footprint somewhere. Best of luck !

Please count on us to help in any way with this project, either by raising awareness or by making sure this documentary is shown in our Countries, please, don't hesitate to ask for anything you need, this is an inspiring story and it needs to be told.
