I am so pleased to announce that Katherine Ware, the current Curator of Photography at the New Mexico Museum of Art, will be writing an essay about the Oracle @ Wifi project for the book. Before New Mexico, Kate was the curator at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and before that, assistant curator at the J Paul Getty Museum. She has published writings on Man Ray, Lazlo Moholy-Nagy, Harry Callahan (my photographic grandfather!), Julien Levy, and Bauhaus photography. Besides being one the the most respected and knowledgeable curators and critics of photography, she has a wonderful ability to write about complex subjects in a way that is both poetic and accessible. She has long been an inspiration and influence, the poor soul has suffered through several portfolio reviews with me over the years. And she sings very well!
