About this project
Buck O'Neil once said, "Baseball is good for the kids. Teaches them all the lessons." We intuitively see the life lessons about teamwork and practice, what about lessons pertaining to faith?
Baseball is the language of my soul.
After "having a catch" with my childhood hero and winning a contest for writing a new Royals' anthem, Dad decided to reward me with season tickets to the Royals in 2011. (By "season tickets" I mean two tickets to 20 games.)
Standing with Dad by the left-field foul pole on Opening Day, I heard a Whisper encouraging me to write the stories of this season's games. It was the beginning of an amazing project, which culminated in "Run Home & Take a Bow."
Through the project, I also met two Royals' players--Les Norman and current hitting coach Kevin Seitzer. Both agreed to be interviewed and shared their experiences of the intersection of baseball and faith.

The writing of the book is finished and it has already been edited once by a professional editor. Funds from Kickstarter will enable the book to be published in time for Opening Day, including two more rounds of editing, interior design and layout, cover design and layout, as well as a beautiful trade paperback finished product.
Should the miraculous occur and I exceed funding, more rewards could conceivably come into play.
