Just wanted to give you all a shout and let you know about another step in our creation.
Remember the idea of percussive tumbling?
Well.... We had the chance to start researching with the sounds behind the circus, mix them, play with them and make some music from them!
After collecting all of these sounds that we recorded and filmed - we wrote a song inspired by these movements. The song's name is "Keep On Moving" and it talks about facing fears (Lyrics written together with Oren Bigler)
Then contacted few great musicians from Israel:
Dor kelman - Drums
Daniel Sapir - Bass guitar
Ron Hachmon - Guitars
And we started a music collaboration over the internet to produce this song together in this unique way. The musicians played their parts in Israel, and filmed themselves. They sent the videos back to us for editing.
The Act we created for this song had Yuval playing keyboard and singing while interacting with a video projected on a see-through screen that contained the sounds created by actions from circus, as well as the musicians.
We premiered the first draft of this new work at STREB in Brooklyn as a part of an emerging artist showcase.
We hope to have a full video from this showing sometime soon so we can share it with you. This performance was a first draft for a big idea that is still growing and we are super happy to create and move forward with this production!
Stay tuned we will soon show this number again at The Muse in Williamsburg Brooklyn our home base as a part of The MuseIAM series.
Last thing - We want to thank all great people that helped us in this project: Dor Kelman, Ron Hachmon, Daniel Sapir, Oren Bigler, Ryan Murray, STREB company, Harold Moeller, Chris McDaniel and again - Thank you all for your support!
