Run Body Run
Following in the footsteps of Holly McNarland's successful independent
release, Run Body Run, we are producing an independent animated short based on a painting by Toronto artist Jamie Bennett.
The Film
Directed by Mark Pullyblank, Run Body Run is a coming of age tale that chronicles the struggles of a young heroine who, in her pursuit of ideal conformity, discovers that the traits she rejects are in fact her greatest assets.
Playing on the surreal themes of the painting, and the moody texture of the song, we will combine various animation disciplines bringing together both established artists as well as talented new comers.
Project Goal
We are working completely independent of record companies or corporate grants. This way we can work with a more experimental spirit to make a film that compliments these two great works of art. Funding will go directly toward production costs. The math is simple: the more money we receive, the bigger artist pool we have to draw from. Our release date is March, 2013, but we can move that deadline up based on funding.
The Rewards
The rewards are a custom fit for fans of Holly's music, songwriters and animators. Rewards include signed copies of artwork or albums, private instruction for animators through CG Spectrum.com, having your likeness in the film, even a one on one songwriting session with Holly!
