im working on an album right now that im really proud of. non-genre, future music. electronic music that i can perform live. not just dj the parts, but actually perform it live using samplers and midi controllers.
unfortunately, due to some unforseen circumstances, on may 1st i had to move and now i dont have a home studio anymore.
this comes at the worst possible time, just as ive started work on a very ambitious first album that i truly feel is the best and most honest music i've ever made.
the goal of this kickstarter campaign is to raise funds to rent a studio space in which i can finish the album, and to cover some of the initial release costs.
without it there is no way this album can be released this year. ... i want to release it independently without the influence of a label, so i will really need the help of everyone who appreciates the music to make this happen. i see you. i appreciate you. thank you!

I estimate it is going to take at least 4 more months from the time I am writing this to finish production, under one month to mix/master/print, 2 months to promote before release... that puts us at around November 2012

its very important to me that this album gets released without the influence of a label. i will be paying a lot of the costs out of pocket, as it will probably end up costing much more than $5000 to release... but in the production phase i will need about $5000 for studio time to get the album finished and printed. without it, theres no way i can independently release this album this year.

I like to play with odd time signatures, glitchy drums, samples from decades past and lands far away, combined with some synth and live instruments. the music ranges from aggressive to ambient to hypnotic. It really isnt married to any one genre, but it does flirt with idm/glitch/breakcore from time to time.
