The first shipment of honeybees for the year arrives tomorrow, and along with the survivors from last year - both our own and our students' - we're gearing up for a grand 2013!

This is Bee Happy's last post on Kickstarter, so we'll remind you of two items:

2.  We can now schedule the Bee Happy Hive Dive for anyone who wants to take advantage if it!  If you are close enough to us, or if you just want to make the trip, come to the apiary for an up close and personal look into one of our hives with us. You'll remember this experience!

If you don't live close enough, contact us and we'll schedule a time to Skype from the apiary with you.

Thank you yet again for your generosity.  The honeybees in Connecticut are very happy and growing.

Springtime, as we know, is the busiest of all times for the beekeeper.  Thanks to you, your generosity, and your belief in us and the Bee Happy cause, we have been working our butts off for the past three months, making thousands of honeybees extremely happy.  The Bee Happy Co. is creating Happiaries, educating, advocating, and increasing the healthy honeybee population, as planned.

The time in Springtime means taking care of hives and gearing up for the new honeybee arrivals. Along with this, Bee Happy has been giving classes and attending spring fairs with other farmers, birders, kids, and everyone who's coming out of the woodwork to enjoy the beautiful weather.

10 more Top Bar Hives in 1 weekend

Our neighbor Chris, carpenter extraordinaire, visited the lumberyard with us, and we got to work measuring, cutting, then measuring and cutting some more, then drilling to complete 10 more Top Bar Hives.  Maybe one will be coming to a backyard near you!

Seven more colonies of honeybees will be arriving this Friday.  Wonderful homes await them.  We hear they are very excited!

Better CT this Wednesday, April 11 at 3:00

The Bee Happy Co. will be interviewed this Wednesday on the show Better CT with Scott Haney and Kara Sundlun.  The channel is WFSB Channel 3 out of Hartford, CT.  This is a great show that airs every day at 3:00 pm, so catch us on April 11th for some Bee Happy tv!
