Good Friday!
I'm off to rehearsal for "JUKEBOX JACKIE: Snatches of Jackie Curtis", directed by Scott Whitman as part of La Mama's 50th anniversary season. The other actors are Steel Burkhardt, Cole Escola AND Bridget Everett. The show is composed of writings taken from the legendary Warhol Superstar's plays, poems, trip books and features songs by David Bowie, T.Tex, Peter Allen and more. It's going to be an amazing show. Before I get back to learning my lines I thought I'd post another update on the Kickstarter account. IT'S GOING GREAT!!! All we need to raise is a little over $5,000 at this point and we have a week left! In my dream scenario the goal would be reached by my birthday on Wednesday May 9th so I could relax knowing it's going to happen. IT'S CRAZY EXCITING to embark on this kickstarter journey and to feel the love and support coming at you from so many unexpected directions but it's also HELLA NERVE-WRACKING!
