ambitious attempt...
Alas, it was not enough. We will re-group, and re-double out efforts. It was a whirlwind, but we needed more time. More time to fundraise, more time to build and more time conspire. The show needs work too.

Here is what we did do:
We wrote a show.
We built the boat.
We got a great motor that works!
We built the ferris wheel.
We made the artwork.
We did a ton of research on the river.
We figgered out all the transportation stuff.
We put a core crew together.
And we did all that laughing the entire time. It was fun to build, to conspire and to push forward. We just didn't have great timing with a crew and as such didn't have enough help. And that is reflected in the fundraising. As far as %'s go, I'd say this project is 40% together. Which is a huge headstart for next year. I always knew this would be a multi-year project, but I think now when we re-group we will come back at it with recharged vigor.
So thanks for your confidence and thanks for taking the time to say that this is the world you want to live in. Almost 300 backers for this impossible thing. We must be doing something right...
