I'm from Missoula and I grew up hiking/ camping around the Bob Marshall. Even though your project is already funded, I'm really happy to support something from my home town. And just under the wire with 2 hours to go. Congrats.

I'm the 100th backer for your great project all the way from Australia!
I did a road trip thru Montana a couple of years ago visiting some of the greatest National Parks and wilderness areas in the world. Didn't get to Bob Marshall - but your map will inspire me for a return visit.
I've added a little extra for the postage to Melbourne :-)

Hi! Two of my best friends worked in the backcountry in the Bob Marshall for years. I"m forwarding your project on to them. I just returned from a trek across the Baltoro Glacier in Pakistan and have recently launched a project here http://kck.st/gVF5CL. good luck with the last bit of your fundraising!

I would fund this if I knew all the data was going to OpenStreetMap

We met in the summer of 2007 working for a non-profit research organization in the greater Yellowstone Ecosystem mapping the spread of invasive species. After two summers of following GPS units to random locations we started thinking about ways that we could combine our love of being in the back country and our love of maps with our cartography expertise. We realized that even some of the most popular wilderness areas in Western Montana don’t have up-to-date, user-friendly maps. So we started working. In the spring of 2010 we bought two GPS units, quit our jobs, and started hiking. Jamie’s brother Thomas joined us for most of the summer and between the three of us we created the most accurate data set of the trails in the South Half of the Bob Marshall Wilderness. Since the weather turned too cold for data collection, we’ve shifted our focus to all the computer work it takes to create a beautiful and functional outdoor recreation map. We have long lists of places we would like to someday make maps of and hope to eventually make this our full-time work!
