The Garage is looking to rebuild one of its walls and make some much needed improvements to the rest of the building.
The Garage has served the Charlottesville arts scene for the past four years, hosting concerts, art openings, potlucks, film screenings and dance parties on any given night of the week. Since our beginning, we have functioned on both a local and international level- bringing in bands and artists from across the globe, while especially catering to Charlottesville's musicians and artists. Known as the best little venue in town, The Garage encapsulates the very essence of Charlottesville, a city that thrives on innovation and creativity.
About a month ago, a car accidentally drove through one of our walls, damaging some things inside and leaving a large SUV-sized hole to patch up. Thankfully, the driver was unharmed, but we've got some work to do and we need your help. We need to raise $10,000 so we can make some much needed upgrades all across the board: new flooring; a new sound system; new lighting and hanging systems; new drainage and gutters for the roof - all of which will provide for a better space for artists and musicians to share their work. We're also planning on designing a new website and purchasing a camera to document concerts which we hope will put The Garage and the Charlottesville arts scene on a more national platform.
Please consider making a donation to help The Garage keep playing a vital role in the Charlottesville community. We're eager and excited to help make this space better than before to serve the city we love so much.
This
video, like our space, was a community endeavor. Thanks to all of the
actors who participated (you're lovely) and thanks especially to New
City Arts for helping make this happen.

Over the years, The Garage has worked with Charlottesville City Council to ensure that we uphold a respectful relationship with our neighbors. All concerts are kept at a low volume and end by 10PM. We also make sure that any litter in our area is discarded at the end of each event. The Garage is owned and maintained by Christ Episcopal Church and we don't receive any income from these events.
