Thanks to you, we have surpassed our goal of $10,000, and will receive all of the funds which have been pledged on Kickstarter. There are still 30 hours left in this fundraiser, and we promised to make things interesting! Here is our final, celebratory, reward booster:

About the Series:

A portion of the proceeds from DVD sales will be going to the charities Equality Now , Lovewell Institute for the Creative Arts, and Kids Need to Read.

Our Cast:

In a Galaxy close to our own, a war rages in the shadows between groups of technological mages; the Order, honor bound to protect all life and maintain the balance of the galaxy, and the Apostates, determined to use magic for their own gains and purposes. When two Mages from the Order of Magi are dispatched to capture a rogue Sorceress, not everything goes according to plan.

Now, Pandora's Box has been opened, and the power that has been unleashed on the Earth cannot be stopped. Another battle is about to begin, but with humanity caught in the crossfire. Can the human race hope to stand against the very forces of the universe?

Our Mission:

We all know that the Internet will be the next evolution in storytelling, and in a sense it is already becoming something more. With the advent of Youtube.Com, the ease in which videos can be shared on Facebook.com, other sites like Atom.com  and the availability of monthly licensing for products such as Adobe Production Essentials, we find ourselves in a world of film not unlike the Hollywood of old, where any dream could be realized. Those who have the desire, the drive, and the talent can now publish meaningful work outside the view of those who have not yet realized what a powerful medium we have available to us. The old ways of generating revenue don’t apply to the new forms, and since the Hollywood Studios are not trying to find solutions, it’s up to us to create that new business model so that we can start producing the content we all want to enjoy.

Today the world of Hollywood Film and Television is less about producing new and innovative works and more about generating profits. We have consistently seen new works with great potential canceled after one or two seasons simply because the studios saw little reason to spend money on a project that would not generate the viewer base they needed to increase their margins. Th is evident with shows like Firefly, Dollhouse, Stargate: Universe, FlashForward, and Dark Angel. Many times this results in the fans fighting back, as was the case with Family Guy and Futurama, two shows that were canceled because of "waning interest" and reintroduced only a season later. In the case of Firefly, the studio satiated the fans by funding the major motion picture, Serenity.

Today's market is a place where we will never again see the likes of Sliders, Farscape, Star Trek, Star Trek: The Next Generation (which was the last Star Trek series to complete its run on a network channel), Quantum Leap, Hercules, SeaQuest, Buffy, and Babylon Five. 

However, their greed for numbers has given us a chance to succeed in the genre that didn't exist even a few years ago. Two or three million viewers on a network television show is nothing.  On Youtube, it's everything! Three Lefts Productions created Absolution with the goal of producing a new and innovative science fiction series in the scope of successful shows that have come before. We are dedicated to producing quality entertainment that we ourselves would like to see.   Absolution marks the first production of what we hope will be a long, and successful, creative venture.    

Our Goal:

We plan to begin shooting this fall.  Weekly episodes and behind the scenes footage will be featured on our Youtube page.  We hope to raise at least $10,000, which will cover the initial costs for a pilot episode. Any amount above our minimal goal will go toward the estimated cost to continue production of the first full season of episodes.

What this Includes:

$10,000 is the minimum we need to start. The South Florida area is a great place to produce a series.  Series such as Dexter, Burn Notice, and Magic City have taken advantage of the multitude of assets.  It's a great place to work.  We have gorgeous locations at our disposal.  We have assembled a talented team of actors and artists who are passionate about our work!  But, it can be quite costly to produce a series.  Your contribution will go a long ways towards covering those costs and ensuring that this piece gets made!  Here are some of the anticipated overhead costs that will be covered by our $10,000 goal:

Where YOU Come In:

We have an entire 21 episode season planned out.  We want to create this product because we know you will be a fan!  The pilot episode is the first step. If we can prove that this kind of quality storytelling can be done consistently, and for far less expense than a standard television series, we believe Absolution stands a great chance to continue on for a whole season.

Your donations will allow us to film the three part pilot episode of Absolution and get the series off the ground.  Wee have put our hearts and souls into this project.  We want to prove  that the time is finally right for this form of entertainment. 

Thus far everything we have created has been out of pocket.  We are schoolteachers,  community leaders, and volunteers.   We have reached an impasse in generating the money needed to get this series into production.   We have assembled some of the best talent in South Florida, and we are ready to bring this project to fruition, but we still need YOU:  the present and future fans to help us make this a reality.
