The end of the Kickstarter campaign is just the beginning of the Jack Phoenix movie project. There was never any doubt that we were going to make the movie; when I came to Phoenix in April to scout locations Kenny and I agreed that we were all in no matter how the movie got funded, and that's when we came up with the idea for a Kickstarter campaign.

But I have to say I was impressed that we exceeded our goal by 20%. That's a nice contingency fund and, as we've said before, we are determined to make your support worthwhile.

So thank you all for helping make this campaign successful!

You know that sense of relief you get at the end of a casting session when you realize your biggest problem is sorting through a lot of good choices? Well, I just wanted to let you all know... we're in good shape. I won't make any specific announcements until we nail everything down, but for now we can rest easy tomorrow.

Thanks to our backers, we have reached our goal, but you can still help. The most awesome thing you can do now is persuade someone else to pledge. Just tell them you did, and give them the link. Tell them there's only three days, and they should do it right away. 

I can't tell you how incredible this has been. First of all, I love this town. I was driving back from a meeting last night, and at 9 pm it was 101. That's just HOT.

Second, the outpouring of support has been tremendous. We have a great team, great locations, great equipment, a great lead actor (don't tell Kenny I said so -- he told me first, LOL!) and a great story to tell. I guarantee that your support will not go to waste.

We will have auditions on Saturday, June 16, and I can't wait to tell you how it goes.

Thanks so much to our backers -- we have reached our funding goal. Kenny Jezek and I have our first pre-production meeting this afternoon, and we need to discuss what to do next. Obviously, we need to keep raising funds -- every dollar over the goal will just make the movie that much better, and there are 13 days to go.

There's a lot we can do to make your support worthwhile, and that's what we will discuss today.
