Update #4: Here at last....almost
Hi everybody,
We've been busy in the lab these past few months. The patient and talented Jon Kohrs of Spleenless Mastering mastered the record, and my brother, the patient and talented Matthew Schickele, designed the album art, which includes photos by the wonderful Kate Milford and Megan Holmes.
As if that weren't excitement enough, we got a kind invitation from Sweet Dreams Press to release History Grows in Japan! Norio Fukuda of Sweet Dreams Press decided to do all-new artwork for the Japanese release, which is out now, check it out here: http://www.sweetdreamspress.com/2011/12/k-history-grows.html .
In order to give the Japanese release some breathing room, we decided it would be best to postpone the official US kickstarter-fueled release a little bit more...but for our amazing kickstarter supporters, we're doing a sneak MVP VIP exclusive mini-release. Which means that I'll be able to send supporters your promised rewards very, very soon. Thanks to everyone for being so darn patient and talented!
Update #3: Harvest update
Update #2: Robot Spider Says: Thank you!
From all of us at k., THANK YOU for making the History Grows campaign such a wonderful, affirming, grand experience. We raised way more than our target, almost the full amount needed to finish the record. That has not only made it possible to do the project, it's felt like....what's the right phrase....the wind beneath our wings....a candle in the window....something really encouraging that's made finalizing the record feel like a community project instead of a lonely task.
All this to say, thank you for your barn-raising help. More soon about the rewards for the fantastic backers. I can't wait to share the record with you!
Update #1: Wow -- thank you!
We're more than halfway there with the finishthedamnrecordalready campaign -- THANK YOU to everyone who has kicked in with kickstarter!
