A 30 minute, post apocalyptic short film by award winning director, Ali Barr, "Diablo's Crow" is a story about the redemptive power of human connection; a connection that crosses the boundaries of race, age, gender, culture and education.  

It is a message that needs to be heard in these turbulent times and one that can't be experienced in a lecture. The creators are passionate about building a powerful message presented in an entertaining medium that is accessible to everyone. 

The funds raised in this Kickstarter campaign are for below the line production costs.  Insurance, equipment rental, food, costumes, props and set, as well as small stipends for the cast and crew dedicating their passion and talent to this project.  

This project has had a long and varied path to get to this point.  Initially it was a 10 page short about the power of human connection.  But with the addition of director Ali Barr and actor Danor Gerald, it grew beyond that.  Their experiences with bigotry combined with my experiences with love beyond racial lines has combined to make a powerful message about the lie that manifests as cultural bigotry, racial bigotry, social bigotry and intolerance in all it's many forms. When the hatred and warmongering of government and culture are stripped away, we are all just people who need each other.  We are not meant to be alone. 

Now it is a 30 minute short that stands alone as it's own film, but is also the first act in a post apocalyptic feature really examining the issue and the repercussions of bigotry.  

This short will be entered into film festivals across the country to get this message out there.  But it will also be used as a marketing tool for the feature film so that this message can reach an even wider audience.
