About this project
The Love Leighs create original songs in the tradition of 20th Century American acoustic music--a mix of jazz, blues, twang, and the occasional funky tune or Motown groove. Their complex and dynamic harmonies draw you in, their stories of love and love lost touch your heart, and their engaging performances will likely incite you to shake your tail-feathers.
Our project budget includes the recording, mixing, mastering and replication of 1,000 CDs (as well as digital downloads) in high-quality audio, making our music not only radio-friendly, but also suitable for placement in TV and film. While we will be re-recording previous releases, we also have many newly written tunes to render.
We have chosen a highly-recommended local studio that uses a digital-to-analog recording process, exceedingly well suited to capturing the full depth and breadth of The Love Leighs' vintage sound. Joining us there are some ringer guest musicians to expand our trio--one of whom has shared the stage with the likes of Michael Jackson. We ain't messin' around with this one, folks.

This Austin, Texas band is composed of brother and sister Jimmie Dreams and Jessica Leigh, and their dear friend Raina Leigh. It just so happened that Jessica and Raina share a middle name, and a love of ukulele. They all met playing the song circles around the campfires at the Kerrville Folk Festival, where they continue to play. While each of the band members brings their talents to solo and other group projects, they have a special fondness for the sound they create as The Love Leighs.
