Formed as Casa Diablo by frontman Zero "Delorean" Diablo and drummer Shane "Meatwhistle" Diablo in 1995, before changing to DIEMONSTERDIE in 2000, DMD has endured 17 years as a band and to date has released 7 full length studio records, a limited edition split vinyl (with fellow horror punks The Crimson Ghosts) and a live album. Long hailed as the love child of Type O Negative, The Dwarves, The Cramps and The Misfits, DIEMONSTERDIE hail from the deep hell of Salt Lake City, Utah, USA and are currently hard at work writing and planning their 8th studio release, which is entitled "October 21st 1976".

To everyone who has ever supported DIEMONSTERDIE, this message is for you. To everyone who has heard of us and even to everyone who has never heard of us, this message is for you. Months ago, things looked bleak for this band. We had just lost our rehearsal room and came out of it flat broke with nowhere to go. But as we were to discover, sometimes hitting the ground hard is required in order for things to become better. We’ve been a band for well over a decade now. And it seems nothing will kill us...we’re already dead! After a brief hiatus, we have found a new home for the band, a place where we can write and rehearse without hassle. We quickly began to put ourselves back together and in shape for better days to come. A few weeks ago while mulling over the concept of what our next record will be about, we came up with a crazy idea. What better way to try and help produce a beautiful LP package for our fans, than by launching our first ever Kickstarter project? With this new release, we decided we would like to do something special and set the bar as high as we can in terms of creating an album package to die for. And given the rise in popularity of “crowd funding” on the internet we are taking a leap of faith in the people who love and care about our music - YOU - our dear fans. We have been DMD for nearly 13 years and before that, Casa Diablo...to let go of this band for us would be to let go of our dreams, it would mean letting go of all that remains to keep the four of us sane and breathing. We live for this. We never want to quit making music for you guys. We know it is difficult sometimes to back projects like this. We know it is easier to download our records for free. We understand. But what we are proposing to you guys is this: just do whatever you can to back this project, and we promise to give you one hell of an incredible horror punk record, all wrapped up in some very cool collectible packaging. Our plans for the October 21, 1976 LP (our 8th studio release to date) include running a special, limited pressing of full size 12” vinyl, which will include 13 brand new DIEMONSTERDIE tracks, including a song dedicated directly to our fans. The big news beyond that though is this (something nobody has tried before!): the backers of our project who donate $100 or more will get their faces incorporated into the final artwork of the new album. Backers who donate $200 or more are guaranteed to have their photo appear on the COVER of the new record and will get a personal mention in the fan fight song on the LP. That’s right. YOU CAN BE ON THE COVER AND MENTIONED IN A SONG ON THE RECORD! The artwork for the vinyl is being produced right now and will be finished with fans faces once the project ends. The final cover will be in pen and watercolor designed by a very talented local artist here in SLC, Jeana Marie. If we are able to reach a bit beyond our goal, the album will also include with each package a full color, exclusive DieMonsterDie poster hand signed by the entire band and designed by our artist, Jeana, as an insert exclusive to the people who back the project with donations (over $50). Art prints and t-shirts will hopefully also be made available. We are finishing up writing this album now and we are prepared to get it released by early 2013, if all goes well with this Kickstarter project.
