The sense of smell is one of our strongest senses; a smell can take you back to a wonderful vacation on the beach or recall memories of childhood when the family house was infused with pine from the family Christmas tree. We spend money on candles to remind us of our memories, maybe some place we would like to visit, or want to decorate with candles, but with household budgets being a concern, buying candles turns in to treat, treats are made to be enjoyed. Custom Candle Collections wants to make candles a enjoyable treat by using eco friendly waxes, richly scenting each candle by using essential oils and using scented candle wicks. This will allow the scent to be equally distributed through the candle allowing for hours of enjoyment. 

I choose to look at the items that are used everyday and how I could use "trashed" items to create an item that could be compare to a item that would cost have cost several dollars in a specialty store. With that idea, I want to create a candle that one could use and know that it will be easy on the planet and made out of "as many" recyclable components as possible.   I choose to work with eco friendly waxes,  each pillar band will be constructed with “found” items, or items that can be repurposed, cardboard, fibers, basic items that would normally find its way in the trashcan, causing each band to be a one of a kind creation, plus once you have enjoyed the candle, the pillar band can be planted in a window box or in the garden, each band has in bedded flower seeds to be enjoyed again, and allowing the pillar band to decompose.  Allowing for creativity, the video (not one of my strong areas) shows how a grouping of naturals, trash finds, handmade papers and some scraps of fabric can be turned in to custom candle bands while being easy on the planet.
