Wisconsin Rising had a great work in progress screening at the Reel Work Film Festival in Santa Cruz, California on Sunday!
The film was well received by the audience and I am happy to say that I am already incorporating some of the edits into the latest draft of the film!

Wisconsin Rising is on the home stretch! I need to secure the very last bit of finishing funds to get it screen ready - as soon as I secure funding I will start scheduling screenings in Wisconsin and beyond. 
If anyone is in a position to help on that front, or, if you know people who can help, here is a link to make it easy. I am working with producers and am hopeful it will come together very soon!

Jeffrey Smedberg of the Reel Work Film Festival organized an interview at the Community Television station of Santa Cruz County in California and, as always, the community media folks were awesome! We had a great time! Attached is a photo from their studio. 

Next stop for Wisconsin Rising - Plug in final finshing touches for editing. Make a few more full screen graphics. Finalize music. Correct color. Mix sound. Set up screenings to share with all of you nice people!

Dear Wisconsin Rising Backers,

Greetings from Wisconsin Rising filmmaking headquarters in Burlington, Vermont!
Things are moving along steadily in the movie world over here.

We are knee deep in post production - we just finished the rough cut and recently had two screenings with a small team of advisors and producers. Both screenings were very productive full of important feedback and constructive ideas.
I am incorporating the feedback daily into the edits.
There are many changes to make and plenty of work ahead but the light is certainly at the end of the tunnel now!

The working timeline had a small detour this fall. I broke my foot and was in cast and crutches for six weeks followed by a walking boot and crutches for four weeks. It was a minor setback to the production, as one has very limited time they can productively work at a machine and edit while in a cast with a broken bone. That aside, I am all healed and healthy and happily moving forward! 

If you have interest in helping in the final stages of the film send a note!
There is plenty of work to do and extra hands, even if they are far away, can be be helpful!
We have a need for help with film distribution, outreach, and raising final finishing funds.

As I said, there is still much work to do before I bring the film to Wisconsin and beyond but we are getting close!
