WISCONSIN RISING!
Following Governor Scott Walker’s announcement of his controversial 'Budget Repair Bill,' the people of Wisconsin rose up, occupied their state capitol and took to the streets as rarely seen in American History. Many say Walker’s bill is an assault on working people, unions and the poorest, most vulnerable people in society. While bringing you into the lives of those most affected by Walker's bill, this film introduces you to the reanimation of the American labor movement.
While Wisconsin Rising highlights one state's rejection of a conservative take-over, it is a microcosm of what is at stake in America today, at a time of fiscal crisis and ideologically-driven budgets and social reforms. As we hear from economists, lawyers, labor activists and those most affected by the bill, we learn that Walker’s agenda is not unique. While we watch the people of Wisconsin set an example for the rest of the country on how to act collectively and re-engage in the democratic process, even harsher bills are passed in other US states.
Wisconsin Rising tells the story of how Wisconsin became a testing ground for the nation in a political environment where corporations have greater and greater clout and ordinary citizens are losing their ability to obtain redress. At a time when millions of families are feeling the crush of debt and joblessness, and while large corporations are seeing record profits, Badger State residents are demonstrating the strength that comes from a shared sense of identity and pride, and that these bonds can shake even the most powerful political machines.
This film will be a testimony to the value of people rising up in the face of injustice and corporate greed.
Hundreds of thousands of everyday working people are coming together across multiple platforms around the world to fight for justice.

We need $200,000 to complete this film. We have finished filming and are now
moving into post-production.
Money raised here will pay for principal editing, composition and licensing of music, sound engineer to record final
narration and create audio mix, an assistant editor to organize data
files, create back up, color correcting, writing, narrating, installing a safe back up system for multiple terabytes of data, website development, shooting any additional b-roll footage that is needed, promotional materials, graphics, and postage for shipping you your nice rewards.
Movie making has many layers and is very costly.

Filmmaking is very costly. Just because we made our goal does not mean the entire project is funded. We will still be writing grants and talking with donors through our post production process. If you are able to donate, please do so!
