Whimsical bags made out of mannequin heads and painted to make it a one of a kind object.
Headbags are bags made out of mannequin heads (purchased from a mannequin manufacturing company in Germany) and painted in oil with a huge variety of different patterns and designs. The first headbag started when I found a discarded mannequin head in the trash. I took it and looked at it for a long time, before deciding to paint it and turn it into a bag. These headbags take many hours to complete. Each head is opened up and then closed at the bottom and painted in many layers of oil paint. For the inside, I sew velvet with or without a drawstring. The handle is a dog collar.
My goal is to raise 1000.00 dollars to market the headbags more, to purchase about 25-30 new mannequin heads and to increase my production. I think it would be a wonderful sight to see these headbags all over the world. They also make great objects in the home and can be filled with plenty of goodies. The ideas are endless.
