Update #4: Keyboards, guitar solos and background vocals...
Ok, so over the last 2 weeks we have recorded all the keyboard parts, guitar solos, violin, and most of the band's background vocals (still a few songs that need some more backgrounds). Now I will be spending the next week or so cleaning up and organizing the sessions to prepare them for my lead vocals.
I am very excited about the way the songs are sounding. The band has stepped up and really played their hearts out. It was a lot of work and long, long hours of recording. The vibe of this album is so cool. The combination of rock/pop with the grit of guitars and the sweetness of strings plus the strength of the lyric and melody make this hands down our best effort yet. True ESB to the core. I work with some of the most creative and talented people around (It doesn't hurt that I love them too) They give their all to this band and it shows in what they bring to the project.
I will give everyone an update after I have recorded my vocals and start prepping for mixing.
Thank you again for your support. This is also 'your album' so you should feel good in knowing how great it is coming along. I promised you a fantastic album and so far that is exactly what we are making...now it is up to me to sing the best vocals I can ;)

Update #3: Album update-New Title...
Hey,
I just wanted to give you all a little update...All the rhythm tracks (bass/drums/guitar/some keyboards) are done. The band comes to town starting next week. We will be overdubbing keyboards, background vox, lead guitar, and violin. Once of that is completed (2 weeks of work) I will concentrate on my final lead vocals. I am both looking forward to and fearing that part. The pressure will be on to make my parts sound fantastic.
This album is really coming out great. You should be happy to know, I have now made the count 12 songs. That's right. Not 10, but 12. The last song was one that really stood out both as a song and a title which is why the new album is now called...Eric Stuart Band "Lipstick And Barbed Wire".
Once all of the recording is completed I will start the process of setting up a mixing/mastering schedule while working with art director on album design.
Thank you again for making this possible. We are all working hard to make you proud.

Brooklyn born and raised singer/songwriter Eric Stuart has toured the country either on his own or with such rock legends as Peter Frampton, Ringo Starr, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. He's also opened for such acts as Jethro Tull, Julian Cope, Hall and Oates, and Chicago.
His first full-length album, Curiosity, was released in 1996 on his own independent label, Widow's Peak Records, and was soon followed up in 1997 with Picture Perfect World (EP).
In the summer of 1997, Eric's classic rock & roll style was noticed by Ringo Starr who invited him to open The Ringo Starr and His All-Starr Band Tour, featuring Peter Frampton, Jack Bruce (Cream), Gary Brooker (Procul Harum), and Simon Kirke (Bad Company). That exposure served as a springboard for Eric to open for the Lynyrd Skynyrd, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Paul Rodgers Tour that same summer.
Since then, Eric Stuart has been touring on a regular basis including two U.S. tours with Peter Frampton.
In 2000 Frampton produced Eric's next album, Blue, Dressed In Black along with John Regan and Harvey Jay Goldberg.
Now living in Nashville, Eric's songwriting talents have given him the opportunity to begin co-writing with some of Nashville's finest songwriters.
In 2004 Eric released the self-produced independent album Bombshellshocked on RevUp Records. In 2007, he released his next album entitled In The County Of Kings on Widow's Peak Records. In 2009 Eric Stuart Band released the CD 'Empty Frame Of Reference'.
Eric Stuart Band's last album entitled ‘Falls On Me’ was released March 2011. Eric and the band (Eric Stuart, lead vocals/guitar, Mason Swearingen, bass/vocals, Jenna Malizia, vocals, Phil Nix, lead guitar/vocals, Kevin Merritt, keyboards/vocals, Maria Conti, violin/vocals, and Joe Palmaccio, drums) are in the studio now working on the next Eric Stuart Band album 'Strangers In A Strange Love'
Eric does all this while continuing a successful voice acting/directing career, starring in hit shows including Pokemon (Brock, James), Yu-Gi-Oh! (Seto Kaiba), Viva Pinata, Ultimate Muscle, Dinosaur King, Kirby, Slayers, Chaotic, Sonic X, TMNT, GoGoRiki, in addition to voicing many national radio and TV commercials and audiobook narrations.
