It's been too long, but I'm finally back in the studio working on my fourth cd. After the success and craziness of the modern "Harper's Bizarre," I'm taking the Celtic harp back towards its roots with "We Brought the Summer With Us" which will celebrate the music of Ireland from the 16th - 18th centuries.
I'm approaching the music not from the perspective of historical performance, but as part of an unbroken musical tradition. Music grows and changes and these tunes have fascinated and inspired musicians for hundreds of years.
Most of the recording features the modern Celtic harp, although a few tracks also use the older, wire-strung Celtic harp. Joining me on the album are audience favorites Michi Regier (violin), Bob Bielefied (flutes), & Max Dyer (cello).
We're almost done with the recording, and your contributions here on Kickstarter will fund the first print run of cds. There's a bunch of great music for you at varying levels of contribution, and some fun stuff as well. Of course the way Kickstarter works is that if we don't reach our goal, you're not charged a thing.
I can't wait to talk to you as my tour progresses across the country this spring. Your continued support allows me to do what I love, and I thank you.
