I am putting together an art show for exhibition next month. It is called "A Fan's Notes"; and it is an homage to football and art.
I have a show scheduled for exhibition from November, 17th until January 5th at Steven Wolf Fine Arts Gallery, in San Francisco. The work will be a combination of video, photo, painting, sculpture, performance, installation & sculpture. It is an ambitious amount of work because it is about the enthusiasm of fandom...about being a fan of art and a fan of football. These worlds almost never overlap, but I am bringing them together for this show.
In order to produce everything in such a short period of time, I will either Kickstart the momentum with some fundraising, or find a way to go into debt. This work belongs in the world. With the world's help, I will put the show together and also be able to have a good old fashioned tailgate party at the gallery for all who can attend....the best of both worlds!

My main challenge is funding.
This is one of those times when I can not do it all myself. Some aspects of this project need to be executed by other professional artists, in particular, a photographer and videographer. I am contracting a photographer to photograph me in a series of actions that I will play out 'using the ball as a prop' in a series about 'excessive celebration.' In a separate piece, I am also contracting a videographer to shoot my performance reenactment of "Paper Break Through,'' by Murakami Saburo, of the Gutai Group, while carrying a football and wearing a football helmet.
Although I am asking friends and colleagues to help capture the work, I do need to pay them something for their time, efforts, and use of their equipment. Unfortunately, they most likely won't be able to accept credit cards, and I simply don't have the cash on hand. This is the main challenge. Everything else is squarely within my grasp.
