This will be a long update to provide you with a lot of details. It covers information on Une Bobine for iPhone, Une Bobine - Micro|USB, and the USB Extension Cables.

Une Bobine - Micro|USB

Since our announcement last week of Micro|USB, we've been diligently working on the final design to send to the factory. Specifics are listed below.

Replaceable Micro|CAPS

We have tested a lot of Android phones and have designed a patent pending system to adjust the connection to the phone for different devices. These Micro|CAPS are easy to snap on and off and allow you to select the best match for your phone. All Micro|USB Bobines will ship with the full set of Micro|CAPS. We are still finalizing which ones we will be producing (the photos are of our prototype test units, not the final versions). These add an incredible amount of stability to the Micro|USB connection when compared to a traditional connector.

Custom Connectors

As you can see in the photos, we have designed custom connectors for everything. On Une Bobine - Micro|USB, this allows us to increase the width of the connector and offer the Micro|CAPS, which keep your phone more stable. On Une Bobine - For iPhone, we have integrated locking clips into the connector. Check out the videos below for some great comparisons between Une Bobine and standard cables.

We have been testing our design on many Android phones this week. The photos below are of various prototype Bobines that we have built this week to test with.

USB Extension Cable

We received the USB Extension cables from the factory this week. These provide a great length for using Une Bobine in unique positions on your desk, a nightstand, with wall chargers or desktops under your desk. Every Bobine shipped will include the extension.

[Fuse]Chicken Blog

With the number of comments on the main project, updates, and posts, we know it can be difficult to find what you need on the Kickstarter page. So we have started a blog at fusechicken.wordpress.com to help out with this. We will be posting a lot of the frequently asked questions as well as more 'mini' updates on the current progress on the blog. This should help keep the Kickstarter page a little less cluttered.
