Every gamer needs dice.  They are the common currency of the RPG world, right along with pencils and paper.  Gamers have all kinds of superstitions about dice.  We collect them, sometimes by the pounds, so that we can have either the perfect set, or a set that matches our personality the best, or even one that matches the characters that we play. 

We want to begin carrying dice to add to that eclectic collection.  The ten-sided die in the set of dice we are hoping to produce will be emblazoned with the Silver Gryphon Games logo.  As you can see by our mock-up, we have it planned out, and we have been in contact with two major dice producers and they are standing by.  We are looking forward to having this rare dice collection available to you, and we are looking at two separate manufacturing methods. 

Both the Æther and the Ingenium system use the d10 as a primary dice, and so it is with that in mind that we will be replacing the 10 spot, or zero, on the die with our logo.  The money for this kickstarter will go to cover our own expenses for the prizes, purchase the dice you have ordered, and pay for shipping to get the dice and other prizes to us and then ultimately to you!

UPDATE:  Funded on July 24th

We've been funded in almost exactly 30 hours!  Due to the amount of interest in the project, We have added Stretch Goals to keep pushing the project farther!  If the funding keeps rolling in, we will keep adding goals as we are able to!  We have a long standing tradition of trying to go above and beyond for our customers and fans, and this Kickstarter will be no exception!

UPDATE:  Stretch Goal Change

We had previously stated that at $6,000 we will be getting custom d6s.  After conversations with the dice manufacturer, we can get these at a cost that is below the original estimates.  For that reason, we have changed the $6,000 stretch to only be $5,000!  Not only that, but we have updated it to include an off-color D6 that will also be engraved with the Silver Gryphon Logo!  This is being done especially for all of you Savage Worlds players out there who need a Wild Die to go with your Silver Gryphon Dice!

We have the leather in for the dicebags!  Kevin will begin the process of cutting, tooling, dyeing, and sewing the bags together as needed and requested!  We will post more pictures of them as works-in-progress, so stay tuned!

$2000 Stretch Goal! - ACHIEVED!

We are funded!  Not only do we have funding for the project, but we're going to keep it going!  Once we hit $2,000 in funding, we will be getting the logo imprinted into the D10, not just printed on a smooth spot on the top!  Better quality, better longevity, and way cooler, the imprinted D10s will bring a touch of class that isn't seen in your typical custom D10!  A special casting mold must be created for this to be done, hence the additional cost!

$4000 Stretch Goal! - ACHIEVED!!

At $4,000, we will be having the standard D10 and the %D10 (the one with the 10, 20, 30, etc.) imprinted.  This is something that most dice companies can't do, and again, it requires a special mold to be made in order to cast the dice like this.  The next time you roll a critical success in Æther, you could be looking at a pair of Silver Gryphon logos staring back up at you!

$5000 Stretch Goal! - ACHIEVED!!!

We're not stopping there!  If we run this all the way up to $5,000, we will get the D6 imprinted as well!  With every single exploding die roll in either Savage Worlds or Ingenium, you could be looking at our logo, staring straight back at you, and it will be imprinted into the die like the numbers and the matching pair of percentile dice  in the set!  Not only that, but we will be throwing in a second, off-color D6 that is imprinted with our logo to use for a Wild Die in Savage Worlds or for any other system that may require it!

$6500 Stretch Goal! - ACHIEVED!!!!

If we make it all the way up to $6500, all full sets of dice will come with a small leather dice bag!  This is in addition to the Silver Gryphon branded dice bags at the larger contribution levels!  These additional bags are not Silver Gryphon branded, but they add another touch of class to the gaming table and to your gaming supplies!

$7000 Stretch Goal...and beyond!

If we make it to $7000, we are going to have an additional color of dice added into production, each set with an off-color d6.  For each $500 after that, we will add another color, starting with all white and a black off-color d6, then moving through the rest of the colors that our manufacturer has available.  We'd love to be able to offer a veritable rainbow of colors!

$7500 - Red Dice with a Black off-color D6 - ACHIEVED!

$8000 - Blue Dice with a White off-color D6 - ACHIEVED!!!!

Kicking it Forward...

Some of you may have noticed that we like to support other Kickstarter projects that we see online.  As a pledge to keep doing that, we are pledging that 5% of our profit from our Silver Gryphon dice will go to other Kickstarter projects!  Want to learn more about it, hit the link:  http://kickingitforward.org

This is 5% of the profit only that we are using, not 5% of the total project proceeds.  We still have to get the dice produced and shipped, after all!  As well as all of the cool, never-seen-before Silver Gryphon swag!  All of that costs money and we calculated our margins pretty closely so as much of your donations can be put toward dice as possible!  In the end, we help another group out a tiny bit, you get some cool Silver Gryphon gear, and you've helped us out with you amazing generosity!  Everyone wins!
