About this project
Starring Carey MacLaren and Laurel Kemper, The Sky Has Fallen is an independent feature film written, directed, and edited by Doug Roos. Combining character-driven horror with action and revenge, it won "Best Horror Feature" at the 2009 Indie Gathering Film Festival, and it took home the top prize at the 2009 Freak Show Horror Film Festival. Now is your chance to be part of this blood-stained love story.
I need your help to get this post-apocalyptic monster out into the world. I'd like to submit the movie to more festivals, buy booths at horror conventions, do some online promotion, advertise in magazines, take the film around to independent theaters, etc. Plus, I'll be shooting additional footage and editing the final cut of the film (with your credits!). Anything you can contribute makes a big difference even if you can only refer a friend. Thank you. I really appreciate it and so do all the other people who worked on the film.

Aliens and John Carpenter's The Thing are two of my favorite films. I also really love South Korean and Japanese cinema.
I grew up on a steady diet of TNT's MonsterVision and Discovery Channel's Movie Magic.
After graduating from Missouri State with a degree in Screenwriting and Filmmaking, I wrote, directed, and edited THE SKY HAS FALLEN using money I saved from working overnights in retail. I also edited EISIS, another feature written by and starring a real Green Beret, and I'm one of several co-producers on Andrew James's new documentary STREET FIGHTING MAN.
