Greeting comic book fans, my name is John Prince and I am the author of Unseen Justice and I am going to give you some sold reasons for helping in getting #2 published. But first let me explain what the whole Unseen Justice story is all about. Unseen Justice is a landmark project to bring the story of a returning Marine Scout Sniper as he transitions into a new career as a Correctional Officer for El Malvado County Sheriff’s Department. You will see a story that incorporates the realities of war and well as life working behind the walls. You see, things are crazy enough for those that wear a uniform you don’t have to go all Hollywood. The stories that will be told are loosely based on real events (although changes have been made to protect those involved).

Our main character is Wyatt Stone. Stone suffers from PTSD from events in Afghanistan but due to his training as a sniper he hides it very well, even from himself. He decides to return home to take care of his very sick father. To keep the family coffers full, Stone takes a job with the El Malvado County Sheriff’s Department as a Correctional Officer. While Stone appears to be fine on the outside, he is a mess on the inside and is about to go off the rails in a big way.

Unseen Justice is a story of finding justice for those that have escaped it.

SO WHY WRITE A STORY ABOUT A CORRECTIONAL OFFICER?
Like the old saying goes, write what you know. I was a Marine and have been working in Corrections for 25 years. You see, the job of a correctional officer is not seen by the public nor understood. While their have been several TV shows about corrections, they mostly deal with the inmates point of view. I believe that the story of men and woman that walk some pretty insanely dangerous institutions and their story, need to be told. I am going to let you in on a little secret. Comic books are an awesome medium to tell this story. Why? By their nature, they pull you into the story and force you to image what happens between the panels. Yup that little space between the panels is magic. That’s where you put yourself in the story, craft it and use your imagination. How better to give understanding of the perils of the job than having you image working there. Maybe next time you seen a person in uniform, you will be inspired to say thanks. Mission accomplished!

WHY DO YOU NEED FUNDING FROM KICKSTARTER?
While I can write a ton of pages, someone needs to draw that into a story. I need your support so I can continue to have our outstanding, very cool and talented artist Justin Case, continue to pound out the pages. Currently you can read all of issue #1 for free at www.unseenjustice.com. While I do sale printed copies, at this point it does not cover all the expenses of producing a high quality piece of work.

HOW FAR ARE YOU ALONG ON ISSUE #2?
We are almost completely finished with the penciling and going to be starting the ink and color very soon. We are on target to have #2 out in mid April.
