INTRODUCTION
The Gnome Fighter Project is to produce a series of garden gnomes that have an action hero or comic book superhero styling. We have all seen the basic, boring garden gnomes that just lounge around all day smelling the roses. A Gnome Fighter has a purpose, to guard the residence against the evils that fall upon the yard, the Landmine Laying Dog, the Cat Nip addicted Feline or rouge trash eating Raccoon. There is a war going on outside your front door. Is your lawn protected?
MOTOVATION
So, why do this project. Simple, things are hard out there and I wanted to do something to help my daughter put some money in her pocket. See, she is going to college (graphic design) and has been looking for a job for a long time. Since she has never had a job, it has been extremely hard for her to get her foot in the door, hell getting an interview is a major accomplishment. Heck you have folks with MBA’s working at Starbucks. So after doing some brainstorming, we came up this idea. Our true goal is build this brand to include all sorts of battle harden gnomes, zombie fighting gnomes, pirate gnomes and anything else that is not your typical garden gnome. Think Rambo meets the Travelocity gnome (oh and he is a pompous ass!). Our long term goal is to have a booth and Comic Con, the Mecca of geekdome! So join the Gnome Resistance.
PROJECT STEPS
1. Develop sketches of our next series of Gnome Fighter (will be posting these soon)
2. Hire a professional sculptor and have the Gnome Fighters made.
3. Make a mold of newly sculpted Gnome Fighters and start pumping out platoons of castings.
4. Paint and environmentally protect our troops
5. Ship to our Supporters!!!!
6. Sell, Sell, Sell (both online and at events)
7. Repeat with next series
DETAILS
Funding for this project is take our project to a more detailed level and hire professional sculptor (which have made models for DC, Marvel and Sideshow Collectable) to develop a first series of Gnome Fighters. The figures will be in a variety of positions that are linked to the iconic little green army men. This will inspire those that loved playing with them in their childhood. Seeing a little garden gnome sporting a RPG and M16 is sure to turn some head in your neighborhood.
The new Gnome Fighter will be about 12" tall, made of long lasting resin plastic and hand painted with weather proof paints. These gnomes will last a very long time. We also are going to sale unpainted Gnome Fighter for the full customized experience.
We are currently working on the drawings of the next four Gnome Fighters, we will post them as soon as they are completed.
After the final models have been completed, molds will be created and production would commence. These gnomes would all be hand made and painted in the US. We will not outsource our production. We believe that there is a lot to be said for something that is built by Americans.
