ANIMATIONS!

Dear Backer! On Tuesday next week will move a lot of material to a small cellar in Malmö, where we will start to build all the sets for the animations! In January we will start to animate, both the granny-story but also some parts with Eini.

EINI’s JOURNEY

We already created the Eini-doll, and sent her out on a Journey around the world!! Since she has been isolated all her life, we wanted her to discover the world. She started her journey in Hong Kong, and now we hope that people will pass her on to each other, so she can travel to many different countries! YOUR GRANNY-STORIES

We also made a very radical decision. Since we have received so many wonderful Granny-stories from you, we will build the Granny-animations only on your Granny-stories!! So the story for the animations will be totally crowd sourced. This is what will happen: we take those fantastic stories from around the world, this collective memory of woman living during the last century, and create one single storyline, the story of Eini’s granny, who is the guide and help for Eini during her isolated childhood. But in order to complete the story we need even more granny-stories from you! I’m thrilled if you want to share your granny-story at www.granniverse.com! I’d like to kindly ask you to share very concrete and specific moments and memories, this way it is easier to apply them to the story. And don’t forget to write your name so we can give you credit!

Here comes the first pictures from the first part of the film. The first four pictures is from the film, Eini as a child and as a grown-up, coming back to the house. I’m thrilled to let you know that we finished the shooting of the first part of Granny’s dancing on the table!! We were in the forest in Dalarna for three weeks, a fantastic team of people coming from Malmö, Stockholm, Gothenburg and Dalarna. One week preparation, two weeks of shooting. 

We have now shot the part when Eini is a child, living together with her father in a house in the forest, and until the moment when she runs away from home.

Now it’s time to prepare for the rest of the shooting, when Eini enters the society to search for her Granny!! We will also start to prepare for the animations, and we hope we will be able to make them in Poland. Keep your fingers crossed for this! The plan is to shoot the rest of the film during the spring.

In between the periods of shooting we will prepare and send some of your perks! The most important perk is of course the film ;) but there are other goodies for you on the way! And some of you will become clay-dolls as well, sitting around Grannys table, but we will ask you for pictures of your faces when we are closer to start working with the animations.

Dear all!

We are happy to announce that we just opened our second Granny exhibition!! 2011 it was a street exhibition, this year we celebrate INTERNATIONAL GRANNY DAY in Sweden with an exhibition at FORM/DESIGN Center from 12-08-17 to 12-09-09.   

It is a tribute to all grandmothers, and YOU have created it!! with your your love, your tears, your smile, your souls, stories and pictures!! It’s simply amazing to read your stories and watch the pictures and I feel the enormous power behind every one and all together, and once again I understand how important it is to tell stories together and for each other. THANK YOU!!   

Josefin and Katarina did an amazing job to put the exhibition together and a selection of Granny stories from around the world you can find at www.granniverse.com 

I will hold a presentation on the 28 th of August at 05.30 -7 pm about our work, and Bobbi and Karin, the gamedesigners, will talk about the game on Thursday the 6th of September 5.30-7 pm. You'll also be able to try some gaming!! 

On International Granny Day, Tuesday the 21st of August, we go CAKE-FUNDING!! :) instead of Crowd-funding an hold a cake-auction at 3-4 pm.   

The auction revenues will go to a project in Malmö that helps children with their homework. This is our granny-way to help give children the tools to tell stories. Because stories is power.
