The Legend of Billy Mean is a children's book created to provide a positive role model to African American children.
The Legend of Billy Mean and the Billy Mean series is aimed at giving children and preteens a role model of African descent who will give positive encouragement, affirm greatness and build quality in ways no other character has ever done. Imagine young citizens with mindsets of self respect and respect for others.
This series will also promote education, good hygiene and moral uprightness. We believe that an ongoing focus on goal setting, personal expectations and equipping youth with a road map to success will shift the destructive patterns that have derailed so many young people in the U.S and around the world.
Book one covers the life of Billy Mean from childhood until the climactic battle that culminates with Billy and the forces of nature. Readers will enjoy the captivating conclusion with Billy, who is now...an elderly man. Book one takes you on an adventure that highlights Billy’s courage, super human abilities and most of all his passion and love for his fellow man. The series however will take children on a journey through the various stages and ages of Billy’s life with different lessons to be learned in each book.
The Legend of Billy Mean is already in print, but we are seeking $10,000.00(10k) to bring the next four books from outline to final production. Your pledge will help cover illustrator and promotion expenses

Previous Rewards + Steve Eaton will visit your child's school, church (etc.) anywhere in the United States of America, read several Billy Mean books aloud and provide up to 50 children with a personally signed copy of The Legend of Billy Mean. Your child becomes the center of attention as Steve Eaton points out each time your child appears or is referred to in the story (see previous reward #9).

Previous Rewards + Steve Eaton will personally help you or your child author his or her own book (providing up to 200 hours of work within a 1 year period) and the Billy Mean artist, Dennis Davis, will do the illustrations to a maximum of 100 pages. A professional audio book version of the book will be produced using the voice of Steve Eaton or voice talent pro Devon Wright (the voice introducing our Kickstarter video) and provided as a sound file that you can use to produce CDs. Steve Eaton will additionally donate 100 Billy Mean books to the organization of your choice.
