Kickstarter

We are so grateful to those of you who have contributed to our Kickstarter Campaign and to all supporters/subscribers of Nature’s Serving. We met our Kickstarter funding goal in just over three days and support continues to come in. Thank you!

Our Kickstarter Campaign will remain active until May 9 (as required by Kickstarter), so please continue to spread the word. Although we’ve now exceeded our $7,000 goal (yay!!), we of course have additional expenses in the ways of supplies and equipment needs for our commissary kitchen--Yes, although we are a mobile food business and our trailer, once renovated, is going to be a DELUXE mobile kitchen, we are required by the Health Department to also have an accompanying commissary kitchen which will be housed at the Redwood Acres Fairgrounds in Eureka. It will go into construction on June 26 and will require our furnishing of most equipment and appliances.

We are meeting with Hebrew Free Loan at the end of next week to obtain a loan for the remaining $40K we are seeking for the business. Every “extra” dollar raised through Kickstarter will lower the amount of money we need to borrow. So, please continue to encourage your friends to contribute to Nature’s Serving.

As for progress on the trailer, Carl (Leira’s husband) will be putting in our gas lines this coming week. Your support has allowed us to proceed with our renovations while we continue to raise the additional funds needed for our 5-year business plan.

We are determined to get Nature’s Serving up and running over the summer (we are already catering a wedding in June!), and we can’t wait to begin serving the best of what nature has to offer on August 15 at the Humboldt County Fair.
